Grown Up Digital

More about the book...

In his earlier book Growing Up Digital, Tapscott examined how Net technology was shaping the outlook and activities of Generations X and Y. Grown Up Digital extends this theme further, now that that group is moving solidly into the workplace. He draws upon very extensive research, looking at everything from the Netsters' political attitudes to their views on careers. He finds some positive messages of social involvement and a willingness to engage in lifetime learning, although he does not under-estimate the differences they have with their parents. Perhaps the most striking aspect is that the Digital Generation sees cyberspace as neither odd nor scary, but simply as a place to be. The kids, it seems, are alright.
