The public relations industry has grown to huge proportions in Australia, and a comprehensive study of it is a timely idea. Inside Spin, unfortunately, is a rather mixed bag. Burton speaks from a green/left perspective, and too often his anti-corporate views seem to get in the way. He appears to be oblivious to the point that some of the best (that is, most effective at manipulating information and the media) users of PR are those groups who share his agenda.

Nevertheless, despite the conspiratorial tone, thereis interest in seeing how some expensive corporate campaigns have failed and even backfired. And the successful ones? Well, if you can see them, they're not really working.
